What is a Bios Urn?
Bios Urn’ is a patented and award winning world’s first Biodegradable Urn made from coconut shell, compacted peat and cellulose, without any harmful chemicals or glue. Bios Urn is 100% environmentally friendly therefore it can be planted anywhere: - in a Memorial Park. - outside in a personal garden or pot. - in a plant pot inside your home. - at a public workplace, school or community building if appropriate and permitted.
How does it work?
Bios Urn has two separate sections. 1. The bottom section can be sealed to protect special commemorative items, loved ones ashes and help keep placenta safe from being disturbed during decomposing. 2. The top section is where you can plant a seed, seedling or any additional biodegradable items such as food that in some cultures is ‘giving’ back to mother earth. You can position the Bios Urn below a larger established plant if you desire. Bios Urn has been designed and made with a special growth medium that will assist plants to grow and allow the roots to grow down and through the urn.
